Sandalford Wines are proud to announce the third concert for our 2009/10 Concert Series. Rob Thomas, lead singer of Matchbox Twenty returns to Australia this summer, performing at Sandalford Wines on Sunday 21 February.

The acclaimed front man is a prolific songwriter who has contributed to the sales of over 80 million albums worldwide to date - as lead singer/songwriter with Matchbox Twenty, as an award-winning collaborator with the likes of Willie Nelson, Mick Jagger, Bernie Taupin and Carlos Santana, and most recently as a solo artist.

The tour's special guest will be one of the great voices of Australian music, Vanessa Amorosi. Her album

"Somewhere In the World" yielded the gorgeous platinum single "Perfect" which has been nominated in the upcoming APRA Awards as The Most Played Australian Work for 2008. Most recently Vanessa teamed up with US rockers Hoobastank featuring on their song and video for "The Letter". Her live performances are always acclaimed and of course, expect the hits we all love ‘Absolutely verybody' and ‘Shine'.

For lovers of fine wine, food and music, we are offering an all inclusive Concert & Dining package which includes the following;

Concert & Dining Packages are just $395 per person and include:

Priority entry to the venue through an exclusive entrance;
A mouth watering selection of canapé and cocktail food on the Merlot Lawn function area prior to the performance of Vanessa Amorosi and later Rob Thomas;
Sandalford's award-winning Margaret River Range wines, sparkling whites, premium beer and soft drink;
At the conclusion of the pre-show function, a complimentary bottle of Sandalford Wine will be supplied per couple to enjoy during the concert;

General Information

Sandalford Wines is a Smoke Free Venue. Designated smoking areas are provided outside the licensed area.

‘a day on the green' is a fully licensed event. Minors (children under 18 years of age) may only attend the event if they are accompanied by their parent/step-parent or legal guardian. All patrons (including minors/babies) must have a valid ticket for entry.

Strictly no BYO alcohol and NO GLASS. Food will be available at the venue or BYO picnic. Low deck chairs and picnic rugs are recommended.

Limited parking is available at the venue, entry being from West Swan Road. Please do not park on road verges or local residents' properties.

Buswest recommend you leave the car at home and take advantage of their bus service. To check for your nearest pick up point contact Buswest 9256 3223 or buswest.com.au. A free shuttle bus service will run between Midland Train Station and the venue before and after the show.

Fantastic Aussie talent with Miss Vanessa- a favourite of mine

and of course Rob well what can I say. Talented, friendly and very very proffesional. Well Done!

I have been to many Concerts at Sandalford Winery and haven't been dissapointed yet. Best recently have been The Great Rob Thomas & Rohnan Keating. Thank you Sandalford for a Great Night out and Fine Food & wine. Looking forward to the Mowtown Show this Sunday

Absolutely enjoyed the Rob Thomas concert and Vanessa Amarossi was brilliant too. The pre-show canapes and drinks were fantastic and will be definitely doing that again. The only negative comment that I have to make is that they closed the bars 15 minutes early and as we were stuck in traffic, due to roadworks,for an hour only arriving at Sandalford at 4.45pm, closing the bars early really meant we only had one drink before the show, which was disappointing. We also came for the Ronan Keating concert and last night for the Motown concert, both spectacular shows. "A Day on the Green" have such wonderful events and will be definitely coming back for more.

Thanks for three wonderful nights out.

Rob Thomas was his usual fantastic self and I was blown away with how great Vanessa Amarossi was.

The sound was fantastic and Sandalford was yet again the star of Perth's outdoor venues.

First time at Sandalford for us. Impressed with the quality of food, drinks and friendly staff. Unimpressed with the bars closing at 5:15pm-that was very disappointing. Great seats, Vanessa rocked, Rob was excellent and after show entertainment and drinks was the perfect way to finish. Security was extremely heavy handed and all too power crazy. If you haven't been, I'd recommend it.
