March 2010

“Tom Jones charms Perth fans” screamed PERTHNOW,
whilst WATODAY said
“Knickers fly at Tom Jones concert”
and The West Australian headlined “Hot Tom still has the moves”

These reviews followed yet another incredible concert at Sandalford Wines last Sunday evening!!! >> Click Here to download the set list

Bloggers at the PERTHNOW site had the following to say about the show:

  • Starstruck of BackStage I am still floating among the clouds after this fantabulous concert by the legendary Sir Tom Jones. He said that his voice was a Gift from God and I just want to thank him for sharing his Gift with his legion of fans. This concert was everything I expected and more. Also wish to mention The Wolfgramm Sisters who performed some amazing ballads and belted out some awesome tunes, minus their very pregnant sister. Finally to David Campbell, who filled my heart with much admiration after performing on stage and then being so gracious as to sign CD's and have photos taken with fans. I still have his autograph on my arm and will leave it on, for today anyway!! Thank you to all concerned for a brilliant concert. 10 outta 10 outta 10.
  • Juan Powerball of Perth Zoo I had a great time singing along amongst all the womens undies which went flying past & onto the stage .Dave campbell was brilliant as well.
  • Great show of Northam | For someone who really wasn't interested in going to this show, I am certainly glad that I did. All 3 acts were fantastic and I would go again if they were on next week. Nothing to fault. Only to be 70 and have the fans up dancing. Went to the Leeuwin this year, they should take a leaf out of the Sandalford Wines book. Far better than Boz Scaggs for the same price.
  • Bagginsofdashire of Perth I first saw Tom Jones in a theatre club in the UK some 45 odd years ago. He was 20 years old,,,,he'd just made his first record,"The Green Grass of Home", his voice and stage presence even at that age were astounding. He stunned audiences with his power. He's still got it. ONYA boyo!!

Over at Ticketmasters blogger section of their website those that left comments were equally effusive about the event and included the following:

  • The venue and the organisation could not have been better, it was like a big party.
  • The whole event from start to finish was amazing. Im sure you could not have a better setting than this in beautiful Perth. The support acts were outstanding and Tom Jones is a world star. It was a wonderful night to remember.
  • My 78 year old Mum went along and couldn't thank me enough for buying her a ticket. She said it was awesome. The support acts - the Wolfgram Sisters and David Campbell were also great. David Campbell is a real showman. Tom Jones had and still has a superb voice and knows how to entertain the crowd. The venue was wonderful, staff were poilte and helpful from the traffic control guys to the security. A very pleasant night all round. Weather was perfect. Would go again anytime.
  • The Venue - Selection was excellent and well organized. The Sound - Very good. The Stage Lighting - Fantastic. Fabulous venue, fabulous food, and of course FANTASTIC Sir Tom!!!!
  • Loved Tom's sensational voice. AT 69 He is amazing!
  • We arrived in time to see David Campbell come on stage and entertain the crowd, peopl got up and danced and generally enjoyed his performance. But Sir Tom Jones was amazing!! He hit every note perfectly, his new songs are great and the old ones everyone was happy to hear. Would love to see him again live, but will be very happy with this memory.
  • Well, what could one say!, Excellence and nothing but.!!!!!!!!!Sir Tom, an entertainer you are , to the MAX!! Oh! Yeah!.........Ohhhh! Yeahhhhhhhh! Your songs brought enjoyment throughout the entire crowd.women literally dropped there knickers for You, Ha!! Ha!!Myself , my friends and I would say thanks to you once again, we could go back tomorrow and do it all again.David Campbell , the Wolfgramm Sisters, started the perfect night, and the weather could not have been better, so farewell and godbless and take care and hope to see your performance again before another 5 years. Thanks again Sandalford.
